On Friday, 31st May 2024, Israel will be playing Scotland at Hampden football stadium in Glasgow for the UEFA Euro Women’s qualifier 2025.
We feel as people of conscience, we must take a stand against the normalisation of a state that is committing genocide.
It is a grotesque injustice to allow Israeli players to participate in sporting events representing their state when their Palestinian counterparts are being slaughtered in Gaza and in the West Bank, facing a brutal occupation with apartheid laws putting them at a significant disadvantage at best and total exclusion, or extermination even, at worst.
Just as Russia has been banned for its invasion of Ukraine, and how apartheid South Africa was successfully boycotted in sports, It is now time to put pressure on Israel to stop it’s heinous war crimes.
We call on you to help us take action. Join our campaign against Israel’s participation in all sporting events until Palestinians are liberated from occupation and can enjoy equal rights and freedom to excel in sport like their Israeli counterparts can.
